There was a bit of an earthquake in the ocean the other day bringing with it warnings of a possible Tsunami along the coast. Being typical of aussies this did not bring fear or mass evacuations! In fact the local surfers could not wait to get down there and ride the "big" waves.
Sadly for them, there was a body boarders comp going on so the local surfies had actually hexed the waves. In fact the ocean was down right flat!
So sorry, the tsunami's been cancelled! Never mind boys! Maybe next time!

I've got a surf story for you, but I probably shouldn't post it, I'll send you an email soon.
Surf's Up... not!
Hope u all had a fun day at the beach today... glorious mid-winter sunshine today :)
LOL! E I think i owe you an email! My bad!
Mal: It was freezing!
Wow, I was thinking of loading up the pathfinder and coming up your way with out boogie boards..wouldv'e been a fizzer after all that eh.
The warning got us excited yet frightened at the same time, just as the tremors we had here a few months ago did. Science freaks we are :)
Ha ha, only Aussies would say "Damn that tsunami not showing up".
Caz: You should have totally come up anyway! We could have road the body boards down the dunes! LOL! (PS. So glad I am not the only one that calls them boogie boards! Apparently we know nothing! Body boards it is!)
Foxy: Tell me about it! Really sometimes I think we should take things more seriously! Nahhhhhhhh!
Ever since I was a little kid I've had an irrational fear that there was going to be a freak tsunami while I was at the beach. It only intensified after the one in Thailand.
Of course, I don't let that fear keep me from enjoying the beach - I just know all the evacuation routes in case.
I'm sorry Karisma, I didn't even read your post. I was consumed by the beautiful pictures and how much it makes me want to go see the ocean.
Well surfers might not be happy - but I would think it was a good thing to not have a tsunami!
