Fun Monday - Show Us Your Purse

The Church Lady is our lovely hostess for Fun Monday this week and she wants to know what our purse looks like and what might be in it too! Well, I had thought we had done this one before but after searching out the post it was actually titled "Can't leave home without it" Of course most of us showed our purse and what was in it anyway. So I thought it would be interesting to compare what I carting around two years ago as compared to now.

For the previous post click the link below....

Can't leave home without it (Fun Monday Post)

Now those sunglasses alas broke a couple of weeks ago. Im quite lost without them. It seems this style is no longer in fashion (boohoo) so am not having much luck replacing them. The bag has been gone for a long long time too. It was replaced with a slightly bigger leather version for when we go out on the motor bikes, and quite a few fabric style tote bags, (I alternate depending on where I am going) but I generally carry this one around ......

but only if I am going shopping etc.

On an average day you are more likely to see me carting one of these around (they fit far more in them and are more suited the average homeschooling family who are generally out and about during the day)..........

This one is my newest and my favourite (it fits so much in it, like food, drinks, games and books, my big camera, art materials, yep lots of room and very favoured)........

As for the first little purse, it generally has these things in it......

(My wallet, my phone and my little camera! The big one is a bit much for my handbag!)

But then again it could have anything in there depending on the day. It has been known to fit in quite a bit, like spare eco-bags for shopping (No plastic bags please!), healthy snacks for the boys, tissues etc etc. You will be glad to hear that I refrain from carrying around too many rocks these days too. I tend to just take the ones Im wearing these days. LOL. The bags just get too heavy otherwise, especially when Zak has been collecting rocks or shells on the day!

Now if you would like to have a sticky beak at what everyone else is carting around, go on over to Church Ladies place and check out all the other entries this week! Happy Fun Monday everyone!

Hey! Its My turn....

I heard Mr Yakka had been posting over here, so clearly, I thought, it is now my turn! My name is Jazzy and a couple of weeks ago, I came to visit my Aunty Karisma for a few days! It was her birthday and she was very happy to see me as it had been a very long time since she saw me last.

I had great fun dancing and playing with Mr Yakka and we went out to eat lunch at a restaurant where my cousins ate giant burgers! Piggies! I did not eat big burgers though. I ate Chicken in Pajamas and chips! (Yep I have class! Yes I do!) I'm not quite sure why they call it chicken in pajamas coz the chicken did not have any pajamas on, but hey Im not complaining, it tasted pretty good!

Anyway, while we there, I got to meet Aunty Karisma's side of the family. We had great fun pulling faces! Yes we did. At first I just watched them but then I could not help myself. I had to join in too!

This is my cousin The Book Fairy and Aunty Karisma's little sister Blossom, they of course started it and soon had everyone else joining in too.

This is Mr Yakka's dad, he was kinda scary......

This is Aunty Karisma's mummy and Aunty Karisma (they look quite professional hey? Don't be fooled though, they were not very good at it. It took them about 10 goes to get it right! Sillies!)

And here is Blossom again showing us how its done properly!

Look I got it first go! But Im clever!

And please! Poking out your tongue is a piece of cake......

I'm so cute! Yes I am!

But I've always been cute..Here is a picture of me last year in the little jumper and hat Aunty Karisma made me.........

Now for my finishing act.........why don't you all try this............
What? What do you mean NO?
Why not?

Hmmm! They might throw us out!

Thanks for hosting today Jazzy! Aunty Karisma loves you very much!

For Cristy.......

Far across the ocean
While sitting in the sand
A little faerie thought
of you, in a far and distant land

She knew today, that you were scared
She wished that she could hold you
And make your worries turn to dust
And in her love enfold you.

And as she breathed in natures gift
The healing came to light
She sent her wishes to the skies
Rejoicing in their flight.

She'd like to tell you this my friend
When mountains seem too tall.
Just call upon that crystal light
And you will never fall.

And when in doubt, that you are loved
Just keep on climbing higher
And spread your wings, just take a leap
You too, can be a flier!

And if at times , you take a fall.
Remember who your friends be.
Faeries all around the world
Will keep you safe, you'll see!

A little faith is all it takes
And love for all around you
Keep safe my little faerie friend
This healing may astound you.

(And here we have the "pommy" side of the family coming out in us!
Have a cup of tea! Its good for the soul!)

Cristy, remember there is more to life than those who chose to control us. To give love is far better than to receive it. Let a little magic into your life. Heal yourself and be happy! Much love and hugs to you my friend. You are going to be just fine! Mwah! XXXOOOXXX

To all my faerie friends out there in blogland, I ask you to wrap this beautiful girl in your healing thoughts tonight. You know the drill, just send her a little spark! Cheers! To the rest of you a little prayer for healing please. Much love all round.

May I have this dance?

Hi there! My name is Mr Yakka and I am going to show you all how to dance!
First Up, you need to get yourself a partner. I just so happen to have one handy. This is Jazzy, shes real cute hey?

So first you need to put on your favourite music and then hold hands....

Now you start to jump.....and jump.....and jump......

And then when you think you can't possibly jump anymore......
Yep you guessed it....you keep on jumping......

If you're really smooth, you might like to sneak in a little kiss about now!
If she objects, you can just pretend you were bumping heads......

And if she doesn't, well you can move in and hug her too......
Then you start spinning her around in circles......

Woops! Don't hug her too hard though or you might fall down......

Ah, but this can be a lot of fun when you are two years old.....
You wanna do it again?????

No Daddy, No.......I don't wanna go home.......Geez, you are cramping my style here......
Don't worry Jazzy! I will come back tomorrow.......

And for my encore.......I think I will sing you a song.....

"Oh my love, my darling..........."

Hehe! I'm pretty smooth hey?

Burgerboy....

Last week we went out for lunch to our favourite cafe. And as it was a special occasion the boys were allowed to choose a meal from the adult menu. Gameboy and Zak both chose to eat a Boss Burger like their Uncle Darren. I don't think they quite knew how big it would be. (The kids ones are about a third of the size).

By the look on his face, looks like Uncle Darren did not know how big it was going to be either!

So the burger arrives and Zak admires it with eager anticipation.........

Ummmm.....Zak.....We don't think you will even be able to fit that in your mouth.......
(Watch and learn people, watch and learn....)

And then of course there is always this method........

Because, I mean, clearly, everyone eats their burgers this way! Don't they?......

So did he manage? Of course he did, although he looked a bit like a Christmas turkey by the end of it..............

Hmmmmm! Maybe his mother should feed him meat more often?
She of course chose to eat a mushroom and avacado salad, which was divine and not quite so large!

Ain't she sweet?

This would be my youngest daughter Gemma, also known around here as The Captain (TC). Last Friday, on my birthday actually, Cameragirl took her off to do some modelling for her latest fashion designs. She was joined by Barbie and another cute young lady who kindly modelled as well. The girls were treated to makeup and hairdo's by a professional makeup artist and had their pictures taken all day! They had a great time and got home just in time for our family get together. (Although they missed out on my birthday lunch, I think they had a much classier time LOL you will see what I mean later).

Cameragirls friend Jaymes Annand was the photograher for the day you can click here to go and see some of his other picutres. He has a couple of shots up from the day.

All of the dresses will be for sale in Cameragirls Etsy store Whispylove Creations over the next few weeks.

From Where I sit....

The sun was shining today, so although it was quite cold and a little windy, we packed ourselves up and went down to the beach for some much needed fresh air and play! I packed some food and our sketch books, some pencils and pastel chalks and off we went.

While SB chose to head in the opposite direction and go for a surf (he is immune to the cold), Gameboy, Zak and myself climbed down the rocks and headed round the corner to where it was a little less windy and set up right there and did some drawing, ate some food and played. And of course I soaked up the view, the breeze, the sunshine, the ocean air and basically the joy of the freedom to once again be outside to breathe.

The view to the front...

To the right....

The view behind.....

To the left........

Up above......

For lunch we ate rice cakes with avacado or tomato/basil tuna or peanut butter (well the boys had one of each). And we drank warm tea. Then later we ate some crackers with cheese, olives and salsa! Yummo!

Since there were no trees in site, Zak being Zak climbed the rocks instead! Really, he needs to climb something, no matter where we go!

Of course there is no mountain high enough for Zak, he even convinced Gameboy to join him. And it seems the sun gods approved, as they shone a little light down on the mischievous little devils.

Once we had had enough climbing, we headed back up to the grassy area near the car and had a drink and waited for SB to come back from surfing. We got in a quick few games with dice to brush up on our multiplication, division, addition and subtraction and as the little smarties thought the 1-6 die were too easy, they pulled out the 1-20 die and played a few rounds with them.

And later, while Zak munched away on some chocolate........

And admired the view to the beach on the other side of the hill (He saw some dolphins frolicking).......

Karisma tripped over a monster lying in the grass........

But hang on, who's this......

Phew, its only Gameboy trying to catch some Zzzzzz's in the sun........

Hope you all have had a great week. I will try and catch up more in the next few days. I do have lots to post and share, but never seem to get the time to write it down.
