Just thought I had better pop in and let you all know I am still alive. We have once again been away. To Queensland this time for six days. Came home with the worst backache LOL I wonder why? Surprisingly I really enjoyed myself considering my lack of enthusiasm at the whole "theme park" idea. The kids made sure I joined them on many rides high in the sky, Zak threatened to send me to Fear Factor if I did not face my fear of heights and just have fun! Guess what? I DID!!!!!!
The standing on stairs one could see through at great heights was not the best fun but the giant water slides going down were awesome! The roller coasters were fun too but my back now hates me! No pics of the bigger rides we were all on them but Zak snapped this one as Mr Yakka and I zoomed past. Don't be fooled my the look of fear on his face, we had just rounded the first big bend, and HE was the one who insisted on sitting in the front seat. By the end he was jumping up and down for more.
It was certainly not the most restful holiday as we pretty much were out everyday at the parks and then there was a couple of nights out too with no break in between! Exhausting, but fun! The kids loved it!
We have come up with a sort of plan for our term four homeschooling this year! As usual the main plan has been thwarted by certain things that have not fallen into place but hey, we are adaptable so will just go with the flow like we normally do!
Zak starts back at Nippers today, so better get everyone out of bed and organised! Hope you are all well.
Hugs and smoochies xoxoxoxo

What fun! We're planning a trip up there for Em's 16th birthday, any suggestions on where to stay? I am scared of heights too, should be interesting to see how I go, although all the water rides sound wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYou're a brave woman!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind a bit of Gold Coast holiday excitement! Not every holiday, but it's kinda fun! Love the pics :-)
ReplyDeleteFirst time we have been Foxy. We stayed at the Focus Apartments and our unit was quite nice, right opposite the beach. I was terrified the first time I climbed up on one of the water slides but got used to it pretty quickly. The ride down was so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteKez: I was not so brave, Adem was the brave one. He is also scared of heights but went on nearly every ride.
Ingi: I really enjoyed it, normally I would prefer a more laid back rest.
What a fun time. I know you all loved it, minus the whole 'height' thing.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Karisma!
