Busy Busy Busy

Well, its been yet another busy busy week down here. I am finding it harder and harder to fit in one or two posts a week. Ahhh one day it will slow down, one day!

Just trying to get into a routine of sorts has proven a little difficult but we seem to be getting there, somehow. Too many activities were clashing with others and meeting individual needs while fitting into the plan was proving a tad difficult as well. So in my usual fashion I have let things slide and sat back and tried to work out just how we were going to fit it all in. When it comes down to it the "plan" is more set in place to give one a feeling of setting goals (or putting out the intention)  to achieve something. As long as learning is happening every day and we are all achieving something, I am more inclined to relax and let things be.

So in short the need to get fit for the kids has seen Adem going for long walks daily before even thinking about anything else. Zak has been pretty involved with his nippers training during the week so skipped a few of those walks. He also will be walking more once his sore foot heals.

They have been reading their "Igraine the Brave" books and continuing with Vocabulary lists in their own time from said book. This involves them either discussing various words and their meanings. Looking them up if needed and then using them in sentences.

There has been a mass exodus of computers from bedrooms for various reasons. Mainly because the freedom to access the internet at any given time of the day or night proved over time to be a very bad idea. Numerous attempts to keep limits and get enough sleep never seemed to be achieved, so it was time for the parents to step in and make a decision. This decision although at first faced with rather cranky boys funnily enough was accepted within an hour or so and forgotten. Their computers are now in the room with all their books and learning materials and they have plenty of time to choose from to use them.  One boy in particular is learning to other things besides sit in front of a computer all day. There are access time limits which have been negotiated depending on days and individual needs.

There has been time for some maths, some science, some history and several beach visits. And for Zak a visit to the Yugioh tournament as their was no beach nippers this weekend.

There has been a birthday, Gemma turned 19 and we all went out for dinner...... she spent the next day and the zoo in sydney and then had dinner and stayed in a nice hotel for the night..... I do believe she had a lovely time......

Of course Ash came up with Charlotte.......who was very excited to visit us again and much more confident and full of kisses.........she has the cutest butt wiggle I have ever seen on a puppy.....

It was the funniest time watching her and Penny meet. Both very curious but very scared of each other at first.

She got to meet Miko and Bella through the window, they are way too big and scary for her just yet!

My knitting and crochet has been put a bit on the back burner this week. Been a bit too tired at the end of the day to achieve much! Now I must away. We have our English/History lesson this morning. Will tell you a bit more about that later!

Have a great day everyone!

Hugs and smoochies xoxoxox

  1. Wow, you have been busy! Oh yes, the computer/limits dance. I can relate. ;) But it sounds like everybody took it in stride and life is going on without too much fuss.

    Happy Birthday to Gemma!

  2. Aren't the busy times just crazy? Sometimes I laugh to think I used to think Homeschooling meant staying at home. Happy Birthday Gemma. How lovely she is.

  3. Busy seems to be the word for everyone.

And that rat picture shows just how tiny that little puppy is!
