I think I am going to need a holiday to get over this holiday when I go home. As week one draws to an end I am feeling just a tad exhausted. We took the kids to Wet'n'Wild the other day. The weather was absolutely beautiful and warm.
Both Zak and myself ended up bending to peer pressure and going on the aqua loop which is probably the scariest slide there in the sense that you stand up really high in this tube and suddenly the floor drops from under your feet. You travel down really fast and then go for a loop feet first. I would like to recommend that doing this wearing a bikini is not the best idea. As I felt my pants disappearing up my rear end I forgot all about the scary bit for a moment in favour of panicking that someone might see my butt. Zak found this mightily amusing as while no-one did see my butt, apparently I had flattened myself so nicely to the slide that my head and all stayed under the water while I adjusted myself before emerging. He assumed I was doing it in terror and thought it hilarious that I did not sit up straight away.
For those who don't know I have always been terrified of heights, just climbing the stairs to get to these slides is rather challenging. But I did it. I went on every slide there and climbed stairs 15 times. The aqua loop got in two goes as the first time, mega wedgies and fright factors aside, it did not really register as it was over so quickly. My heart was thumping so madly and I was shaking so much that I could not give an opinion on whether or not it would be fun. So I went ahead and did it again. Just call me crazy! And although Zak once trying absolutely loved it and deemed it his favourite, I did not. The tornado on the other hand, now that one is fun.

After climbing stairs and sliding all day we ended up going out for dinner and were all in bed early. In fact the kids pretty much refused to get out of bed most of the next day. So lazy!!! LOL
It was once again another beautiful day yesterday so us old folks headed out and did that big long beach walk again. We walked all the way to the other end, climbed the stairs, watched the surfers then walked back. Then we decided to go for a drive to the lighthouse and re-new our national parks pass. So we do not have to worry about paying for parking everyday and we can visit these other beaches which I much prefer as they are less crowded. The pictures today are from Tallows Beach. Its such a beautiful beach I am surprised that more people don't go there. It was lovely and quiet and of so peaceful. I want to go back again.
So of course because I was feeling so pumped and energetic, after walking up and down this beach taking pictures I had SB drop me off at the shops on the way home where I walked some more. I walked so much yesterday that I ended up stopping in a health store to buy meds for my knees whilst listening to a bit of a lecture over why I should wear good shoes. Silly me. Barefeet and even my flat sandals are not appropriate it seems. Hmmmm. Not really sure how that effects the fact that I have degenerative arthritis but ok I will keep it in mind.
Today I am going to skip the long walk in favour of checking out the markets. Hopefully my herbal meds with have kicked in enough to alleviate the pain. I was walking from about 6.30am for most of the day so even if I did not have an existing problem it is understandable that legs, feet etc might hurt.
My muscles are growing stronger!!! Each day I walk a little further. I plan not to go shopping again after doing two long beach walks though :-)
Zak did end up getting out of bed and going for a surf in the afternoon with his dad. Someone else though did not leave his room till dinner time. Tut Tut.
I am hoping to drag them both out of the house today. Happy Sunday all.
Love and light to you my friends. Hugs xoxox
